Living in Sunset Harbour, Miami Beach's Bayside Village
#2 in my series "The 10 Best Places to Live in Miami in 2026"
Sunset Harbour is a small, walkable corner of Miami Beach on the bay side, between Dade Boulevard and 20th Street. It feels like a village. Within a few blocks you have cafés, good restaurants, fitness studios, a marina and a park on the water, and South Beach and Lincoln Road are only minutes away.
Why people love Sunset Harbour
-
Walk to dinner, coffee and the gym in a few minutes
-
Bay views and beautiful sunsets over Biscayne Bay
-
Maurice Gibb Memorial Park, with a playground, dog park and fishing pier
-
Boat life, with a marina next to the condo towers
-
Close to Lincoln Road and the beach, but quieter than South Beach
Sunset Harbour real estate
Most homes are in Sunset Harbour North and South, the THS townhomes and the boutique Palau Sunset Harbour, which has boat slips you can buy. In 2026, one-bedrooms are listed from about $700,000 to $800,000, two-bedrooms from about $800,000 to $1.05 million, and THS townhomes around $1.8 to $2 million. Most homes do not allow rentals shorter than six months and one day, so always check the building documents.
Who Sunset Harbour suits
People who want a walkable, active life by the water: young professionals, couples, boat owners and empty nesters.
My tip
Sunset Harbour was one of the first areas where Miami Beach raised the streets, so some older ground floors now sit lower than the road. I always check the flood zone, the elevation certificate and the insurance cost, and if you have a boat, we ask early about a slip.
